Privacy policy
Effective 20 October 2026 · Applies to the PranArog Android app (package com.rkjdev.pranarogapp) and this website.
In short: PranArog stores the medications and dose history you enter, tied to your Google account, so they work on every device and offline. We don't sell data, we don't show ads, and you can delete everything from inside the app at any time.
1. Who we are
PranArog is developed and operated by rkjdev (Rajan Krishnan). Contact: rajankrishnan909@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
Account
Sign-in uses Google only. We receive your Google user ID, name, email address and profile photo from Google Sign-In through Firebase Authentication. We never see or store a password.
Medication data you enter
- Medications: name, type, dosage, strength, schedule, notes, colour, icon and supply counts.
- Dose history: when doses were marked taken, skipped or snoozed.
- Preferences: reminder, snooze, theme and accessibility settings.
Jiva (AI) data
When you use Jiva insights or chat (Premium), a summary of your medication list and adherence, and your chat messages, are sent to Google's Gemini API through Firebase AI Logic to generate a reply. Chat sessions are stored in your account so you can revisit them. Requests are protected with Firebase App Check.
Content reports
If you report a Jiva insight, we store the reported text, your reason, optional details and your user ID so we can review it.
Diagnostics
With your permission (Settings → Send crash reports), anonymous crash reports are sent through Firebase Crashlytics. Analytics collection is disabled.
Purchases
Premium subscriptions and tips are processed by Google Play. We receive only the purchase state needed to unlock Premium, never your payment details.
3. How we use data
- To schedule reminders and show your history on your devices.
- To generate educational insights and chat replies through Jiva.
- To keep the app working, secure and free of abuse.
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
4. Where data lives
Data is stored on your device (for offline use) and in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, project pranarog, region United States). Google acts as our processor under its Firebase privacy terms.
5. Medical information notice
PranArog and Jiva provide reminders and general educational information. They are not a medical device and do not provide diagnosis, treatment, safety clearance or dosing advice. Always follow your prescriber or pharmacist.
6. Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account and all data at any time from Settings → Legal & Privacy → Delete account. See the data deletion page for the exact steps and what is removed. Crash reports are retained by Firebase for up to 90 days.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or erase your data. You can export your last 30 days as CSV from the History tab, and erase everything from Settings. For anything else, email us.
8. Children
PranArog is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We'll update this page when the policy changes and show the effective date above.
